With support from a USDA Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program we are able to provide a select group of low-income beginning farmers and ranchers the opportunity to attend the full 2013 EcoFarm Conference with lodging and meals. Fellows attend the beginning farmer rancher workshop track at the conference and collaborate with other beginning and experienced farmers to grow and improve their businesses. Applications are available in English and in Spanish and will be considered on a rolling basis until the program is full. Final decisions will be made by January 5, 2013.
Successful applicants must be low-income beginning farmers (10 years or less farming experience) in the central coast region and have farmed in the last year or plan to farm in one of these five counties: San Mateo, Santa Cruz, Santa Clara, Monterey, or San Benito.
Applicants who plan to attend the conference despite being awarded the fellowship are encouraged to register by December 7, 2012 to receive the early registration discount. Accepted Fellows will receive a refund up to the amount of a full conference attendance with meals and lodging in a triple/quad. If you have questions, email email@example.com.
